Creepers Beware! Griefer here, taking a close look at this Minecraft chess set and noticing that the majority of models have an unmistakable 3D printed appearance instead of a Minecraft one. Started experimenting with using 3D depth as a substitute for color textures - wow! The results are nothing short of astonishing in person, and my son just uttered a phrase that will stay etched in my memory: "That is absolutely awesome!" The texture on this was achieved through Sketchup (a skp file is attached). After trying both 1mm and 2mm random offsets, I landed on 1.5mm for the best results.
