Customize a mass-produced Ikea LAMPAN lamp by adding personalized text on the top of its lampshade. The text is visible but not seen on the ceiling. To create this unique gift, start with purchasing the bottom part of the LAMPAN lamp (art.nr. 200.469.88; €2.99 each in Netherlands 2012) in red, white or black. Modify the text on the lampshade as desired and print it upside down using a slicer software with extra bottom layers for better contrast. Choose an opaque material to enhance the effect of the text. Attach the lampshade to the LAMPAN base and enjoy your personalized lamp, while being cautious of the hot bulb inside. Note that you'll need a large build volume printer like an Ultimaker, and the lampshade may not click onto the base as the standard one does due to its size.
