To create a 3D printable word using Blender, start in object mode with a blank page (numpad 7 for top-down view). Add text via spacebar > add > text. Scale the text (S) to an appropriate size (e.g., numpad 50) and choose your desired font (F9>- > Font > Load: c:/Windows/Fonts/; select .ttf). In edit mode (TAB), delete default text ("Text") and input your desired word. Switch to object mode (Tab). Convert the font to mesh with Alt C, then edit in edit mode (TAB) by selecting all (A) and adjusting dimensions (numpad 1 for side view, E > Region, numpad 3 for width, numpad enter). View top-down again (numpad 7), scale, grab, and rotate as needed. Finally, export the 3D model to STL via File > Export > STL. For a quicker process: numpad 7, spacebar > add > text, TAB for edit mode, backspace 'text', input word, TAB for object mode, scale, Alt-c > mesh, 1, TAB, extrude, A-A, and ensure normal orientation with ctrl-n. Export to STL.
