First of all, thanks go out to icathcart for this excellent lure. I wanted to improve it a bit from my perspective and I fixed a few things on the model as well. A number of people reported slicer problems that were caused by tiny gaps in the model and some areas with walls too thin. I fixed all of that so now you can print the whole thing with the "mouth" down without any slicer problems or the need for supports. Additionally, I added a channel from mouth to back and from top to bottom. I have always been skeptical about those tiny screws in baits. Especially since I like to use PLA for those baits because they will biodegrade at least within a hundred years or so if I lose them; but if PLA gets wet, it becomes less hard, so the screws won't hold. In the channels, I can insert a steel rod from front to back on which I can mount hook and ring - this will definitely hold. Having already modified the lure, I also added a hollow chamber in which you can input little marbles (2mm or so) to make the thing rattle... just stop your print at 50mm, which is layer 250 if you print in 0.2mm resolution. Input your marbles and start again. I haven't actually used my version yet but I will report once I do. Tell me how it worked for you.
