Tevo "Z" Axis Upgrade
thingiverse
I designed a "Z" Axis upgrade for Tevo / Tarantula after experiencing problems with Z Banding, which consistently occurred at the same points in my prints. To address this issue, I repositioned the weight of the "X" carriage onto a bearing situated above the standard coupler. A washer is inserted between the Coupler and the Bearing to ensure proper alignment. The center of the "Z" rod or plate is approximately 100mm from the right-hand side edge to balance the weight of the stepper motors. To implement this upgrade, you will need one 608zz bearing (8mm x 22mm x 7m). I printed this design at a layer thickness of 0.2mm with no support and 50% fill. Important: Secure the bolt only to the rear of the 2040 profile; do not use the bolt holes located on the underside of the print.
