Tevo Tornado Standalone mod
thingiverse
This standalone mod is designed for the Tevo Tornado MKS GEN L version and requires no additional extension cables, soldering or hardware except for mounting screws. I mounted the PSU and all components on a 19x19cm acrylic board. Holes were drilled at the bottom to secure the PSU and MKS GEN L Holder in place. The four sides of the box snap onto the acrylic board. I used superglue to attach the front and back sides to the right side, allowing for easy access to components by removing the left side or sliding the bed forward to access them from the top. The sides of the box are labeled as Box (Left, Right, Front, Back) Side, with a top cover added after mounting. A 6x12cm and 10x10cm acrylic sheet were used for the front and top openings. To assemble the board, you will need two MKS GEN L Holder parts, a fan holder and fans cover. The purpose of printing two parts is to align with the USB port slot on the front and provide a separator to pass cables from the SSR to the front under the board neatly. The fans holder accommodates two 5010mm fans. The SSR is mounted using screws on the grills at the right side, secured by two big washers for extra hold. For the display, you will need a Display Front, Back, Holder and Knob parts. It mounts directly under the y-belt tensioner at the front of the printer.
