The glass plate tensioner can be used in conjunction with a 300x300mm or 12x12 inches glass plate. Due to its low design, printing area is not lost when using the tensioner. The glass plate tensioner uses an M4 nut as a threaded component. This solution offers a complete setup for printing on a glass plate with glass tensioners. There was previously a problem with the bottom x-axis wheel colliding with the tensioner; however, this issue has been resolved through design changes. Mounting and removing the glass plate is now very easy to do (please see the video below). The tensioners need to be placed at the rear part of the bed to prevent them from colliding with the print head. A strain relief has also been added to this solution. To use this setup, you will need: (please see the picture in post printing) - 2 pcs of M4 20-30mm hexagon head bolt (DIN 933) - 2 pcs of M4 nuts (DIN 934) - A tiny screw for the strain relief The strain relief should be printed in a vertical position with the flat side down, while the other parts should be printed with the long flat side down. When placing the nut into the slider mount, one corner of the nut must be pointing upwards (please see the picture in post printing below). A little force is required to press it into place. Tensioners should not be tightened too much as they create tension in the corner holes on the heat bed glass plate.
