I built a direct drive extruder mount because I despise Bowden setup. Note: The STL upload here is a more recent revision than the one I'm using on my Tornado, I had some issues with it and fixed those in this revised version uploaded here, but I haven't yet had time to test it, so let me know if you experience any problems. The extruder doesn't perfectly align with the hotend, so it appears a bit crooked, but it hasn't caused any problems for me; you could add some washers between the hotend and the X carriage to line it up if you prefer. See photo. As can be seen in one of the photos I installed the fan air duct 180 degrees rotated. This allows the fan cable to be routed behind the hotend. The heatsink fan holder is designed for a 50mm fan, but the default fan is only 40mm; I can upload a 40mm version if someone wants it. You'll need: - M2 nuts for the part cooling fans (I simply printed mine). - A few 15 and 20 mm M3 screws and washers.
