Tevo tornado Dial Gauge mount for Bed leveling
thingiverse
I came up with a DIY mount for my Tevo Tornado using an old dial gauge, designed specifically to fit an 8mm diameter stem. This way, the gauge can be seated securely without needing a clamp. Removing it is easy and keeps the extruder mount lightweight. With this dial-based setup, leveling is done differently than before. Here's how it works: 1. Slide the dial all the way in. 2. To level a corner, first get the nozzle to barely touch the build surface. 3. Then back away from the build surface by half of the nozzle size (for example, if you have a 0.4mm nozzle, the dial should read 0.2mm less than when it was touching the build surface). 4. Repeat this process for all four corners. 5. Double-check each corner. This setup requires four screws that are 5mm longer than the originals.
