Tevo Tornado detachable filament sensor and oiler (MK8 extruder)
thingiverse
The MK8 extruder is perfectly aligned with the filament sensor and oiler, making it easy to detach each part for simpler threading of new filament and reconnecting both sections to the main arm connected to the X-axis.\r\n\r\nA stock z-axis switch is utilized as the sensor, which was previously used but now sits idle due to the installation of a BL Touch.\r\nThe filament oiler proves effective in preventing extruder throat jams; just apply a drop of avocado oil onto the filament every 10-15 hours of printing. A piece of foam inserted into the oiler section keeps the filament dust-free and lubricated, eliminating filament jams for good.\r\nThree or four 3mm screws are required to secure the oiler arm and sensor in place.
