Tevo Tornado / CR-10 Y-axis reinforced motor mount
thingiverse
The original mount of the Tevo Tornado Y-axis motor is constructed from a thin and soft aluminum plate that bends easily under even slight tension on the Y-axis belt, causing the printer to "walk" during printing. I created a new mount designed to perform more efficiently under load. There are two options available: the first for stock use and the second for antivibration dampers. Installing a damper requires shifting the motor and shaft to the left side of the printer when viewed from the front, necessitating a push to the right side on the pulley that now hangs in mid-air. To address this issue, I developed a specialized mounting model designed for use with dampers. UPDATE: A new version of the Y-axis motor holder has been created, dubbed SAS (Short and Stock) [view images]. This revised design stands 2.5 mm shorter in height to accommodate my ongoing development of an extraordinary mod - the Universal Standalone Mod for next-generation motherboards. These include: MKS Base 1.4/1.5 MKS Gen v1.4 MKS Gen-L (integrating Raspberry Pi) The mounting holes on the "ears" have been expanded to accommodate stock screws, but two additional T-nuts are still required. Additional necessary items include:
