I got tired of fiddling with the extruder all the way behind the printer, inside an enclosure, so I designed these mounts to bring the extruder to the front of the X axis, facing me directly.\r\n\r\nThe mount is installed on the spacers holding the X-axis stop switch. As the four screws holding the cover are very short, four longer M3 screws are required for a secure grip. \r\n\r\nThe single extruder version accommodates a single extruder and a full-size 40 mm motor. The extruder should face upwards, just like in the picture. It can be mounted sideways but the filament guide will turn to the side.\r\n\r\nI only tested PLA with 100% infill and it worked perfectly for me. The testing sample in the picture was built with a 1.2 mm nozzle, which is why it looks so bad, but it was incredibly strong with just 10% infill. I haven't tried other materials and/or lower infill settings with a normal 0.4 mm nozzle yet.\r\n\r\nEdit: Velo17 modified the filament guide to fit this model, which I really like. It's intentionally a separate part, so everyone can choose whether to use it or not. Mounting it requires two 10-12-16mm button head M3 screws and the guide uses a 608 bearing.
