Tevo Tornado Bed Spring Mod - Reduced bed wobbling + glass protection
thingiverse
I had too much play in my glass bed, which made the whole thing wobble violently along the Y axis. The only way to neutralize this issue was to print at extremely slow speeds. After examining my options carefully, I decided to design a wide foot spring assembly that utilized springs readily available at my local hardware store. The spring cups were engineered to work in tandem with a 25mm long, 15mm diameter spring featuring wire widths of 1.2-1.5mm. You should be able to find these at your local hardware store without any difficulty. The bed washers are designed to shield your glass from coming into contact with the metal screw and minimize slop resulting from the oversized hole in the glass. I encountered problems with my thumbnuts shifting out of adjustment during long prints, so I opted for M5 locknuts instead. A photo of an aluminum quadcopter locknut is included. My printer now stays level without requiring constant adjustments. Print the cups with heavy walls and high infill density. Print the washers with .4mm thick walls.
