Osiak's X Belt Tensioner Works Flawlessly, But Original Belt Holder Lifts Belt by 5mm, Causing Inaccuracy in X Movement. The original belt holder lifts the belt by approximately 5 millimeters, resulting in a noticeable discrepancy between the actual carriage movement and the belt movement. This discrepancy grows larger as the carriage moves further away from the edge, creating an inaccuracy that affects the overall performance of the machine. Fortunately, this replacement belt holder addresses this issue by lowering the belt to a parallel position with the X-axis, ensuring precise movement and minimizing errors. Additionally, the adjusting bolt has more room to move due to its offset design, making adjustments smoother and more accurate. Please note that this is the belt holder only; you will need to acquire the clamp and carriage piece from the original design, which can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1748326. Update: After tightening the belt a bit too much, my belt holder broke. To address this issue, I've designed V2 with increased thickness and extended sides, making it even stronger than before.
