Tevo Tarantula X-Carriage with Fan and Belt Tensioner
thingiverse
A replacement X-carriage for Tevo Tarantula stock, with integrated X-belt tensioner, dual fan mounts for 5015 blower fans, and auto level sensor mounting points is designed to replace the stock acrylic carriage after it becomes soft and warped during a high temperature print in an enclosure. I built this x-carriage to be the same dimensions as the stock one but with an inbuilt belt tensioner, supporting both the stock hot end and the E3D V6, and featuring mountings for dual fan ducts, auto level sensor, and fan ducts for 5015 blowers on each side. Printing it mirrored will give a second fan duct for the other side. If you want to use two fan ducts, modify one of the sensor brackets to add an extra support for the duct. I've just finished printing this in ABS plastic, and I'll upload pictures of it fitted to my printer once I get a chance to mount it properly. Update: After printing this design over a year ago, I finally got around to fitting it to my printer a couple of months ago. It all fits perfectly and works very well except for the issue with the X-axis limit switch not being far enough off the side of the carriage so that it triggers before the carriage hits the frame. I solved this by gluing a spacer to the limit switch to ensure it contacts the frame first (you can see this in one of the pictures). For me, this x-carriage works much better than the standard one, as does my new fan setup. I've also uploaded the SolidWorks files for this design in a ZIP file so feel free to grab them and edit them as needed.
