I purchased a pack of five silencing mounting brackets for my steppers, which performed exceptionally well. Since I had extras, I decided to install one on the filament extruder motor, but the original bracket couldn't support the screw size and hole distance requirements. This customized bracket is designed to fit both the damper and the extruder clamp arms, featuring an extension socket at the bottom for future add-ons such as a filament end sensor or guides. Version 4 of this bracket thinned out its walls to allow standard screws to reach into the stepper motor more effectively on the front. However, it still requires rotating the damper holes to eliminate any angle and minimize the bend in the nozzle. Version 7 of the bracket rotated the damper mount holes, enabling a new layout that allows the stepper motor to be vertically aligned with the 2040 bracket. The thinner motor mount also enables screws to reach through more easily, which is why I used nuts on the arms so I could use longer screws.
