I built this z-axis top mount with several key objectives in mind. The stock mount kept coming loose on my dual Z setup, which was a major problem that needed to be addressed. I also wanted the mount to flex less and provide more adjustment so that I could line up my lead screw without any binding issues. To achieve these goals, I designed this custom mount from scratch. By shifting the mounting holes 0.5mm and making them 1mm oversized, I was able to create a stronger bond between the mount and the frame. Additionally, I extended the mount itself and added an extra screw to increase the clamping force, which further enhances stability. The regular extended mount uses all the same stock hardware that you would normally need for this type of setup. However, if you prefer to use a 608ZZ bearing instead of the standard TTP bearing, there is also an option available. In this case, you will still be able to use the same stock hardware, except for the bearing itself. If you encounter any issues with getting a 608ZZ bearing to fit tightly, please don't hesitate to reach out and let me know. To complete either of these mounts, you will need to acquire an extra M5x8 flat head hex screw and an M5 T-nut.
