Tevo Tarantula Pro y axis tensioner
thingiverse
UPGRADED: Added a second tensioner for a Gates GT2 idler This is a remix of the y axis tensioner by ivango2, which I remade entirely due to installation issues with the original design. The tensioner body and slide plate were completely redrawn after filing and sanding failed to resolve problems with sliding into the rails of my TTP. This new tensioner allows for full 240mm travel and fits smoothly on the end of a 20x40 rail, even when the idler bolt is tightened. To make installation easier and provide more thread material for locking, I flipped the idler bolt around. The bolt head is recessed to allow heatbed cabling to slide over it easily. The gap between the idler and tensioner was narrowed to fit snugly with a 10mm idler; if necessary, slight sanding can be done. I also trimmed the side of the tensioner to avoid pressing on the endstop switch. The body of the tensioner is flat on the back for printing without supports. To accommodate carriage bolts, I deepened the original knob and increased its diameter, making it deeper so that it snaps into a new end cap with added depth. Parts needed for the tensioner with stock TTP idler include: - 5/16" x 1.5" carriage bolt - 5/16 nut - Idler pulley and screw from the original kit without the nut or spacer Parts needed for the tensioner with Gates Powergrip 2GT 20 Tooth Idler are: - 5/16" x 1.5" carriage bolt - 5/16 nut - Gates Powergrip 2GT 20 Tooth Idler and M5 x 30 socket head cap screw Printed on my TTP for use on my TTP. If you experience issues fitting, please let me know.
