Human: another x-axis carriage replaces the dual chimera acrylic part, offering modular parts for one or two E3D V6 hotends. July 2017 - Added a second version of the dual extruder module. The 1mm spacing is fine in theory, but it was increased by 1mm to an offset of 33mm. My heater blocks are less than 1mm apart, and the screws (heat cartridges) hit each other. September 14, 2017 - new dual_e3dv6_2x V3.stl; depending on the printer, with the tarantula and a dual integrated fan (look at my things and the remix), the right fan would crash into the upper wheel. September 22, 2017 - version V3 was a failure. The distance was 32mm, and the nut-holes were slightly off-center. Version 4 is now correct: 33mm distance between hotends, 4mm z-drop, and correctly aligned nut-cutouts. Have fun! How I Designed This I started with the original x-plate from Tevo. Look at this: the dual chimera is a bit to the left of center. All these modular carriages are centered; I'm not sure if that matters. It was made modular, and the origin position of the hotend was left intact. So the modular carriage can replace the OEM part. And from there, a modular mount was designed to take two E3D V6 hotends with an integrated fan like the original Prusa i3 mk2 design. Facing the fan of the left hotend towards the right reduced the width of the fan mount, leaving a small gap between them. An offset of 32mm between the extruders required shifting forward by 5mm and the right fan mount 5mm to the right, ensuring no collision with the openbuild wheels.
