I appreciate the thoughtful design choice of using clear acrylic panels for the mainboard and LCD control board. It's great that I can see my electronics in action - including the mechanical workings. However, this openness does present a problem: the sides are exposed, which is not ideal for electronics, especially when working with tools like forceps, Xacto knives, feeler gauges, calipers, and other metal instruments. In fact, I've narrowly avoided shorting out the board on several occasions due to stray tools or equipment getting too close. My solution? A simple wrap-around shield that's designed for ease of use and installation. To install it, simply remove the rear plate and slide the wrap around the hex stand-offs. The wrap's edges are hooked in place, securing it once the rear plate is reattached. Meanwhile, the left side remains accessible for easy SD card insertion, and a convenient slot at the top (or bottom) allows for control wire management.
