I appreciate the clear acrylic panels used on the mainboard and LCD control board. Seeing my electronics in action, including mechanical workings, is always a delight. However, I've encountered a problem - the exposed sides are a major concern for electronics, particularly when working with metal tools such as forceps, an Xacto knife, feeler gauges, calipers, and more. I've nearly short-circuited the board on several occasions due to stray tools or misaligned equipment. To overcome this issue, I developed a wrap-around solution that's both easy to use and install. Simply remove the rear plate and slide the wrap over the hex stand-offs. The wrap is designed with hooks that secure it in place once the rear plate is reattached. For convenient access, the left side remains open for SD card insertion, while a slot at the top (or bottom) accommodates control wires. Print Settings Printer: Tevo Tarantula Supports: No Infill: 100% Notes: To avoid support requirements, print this model with the wire slot facing upwards. On standard-sized Tarantula beds, it fits snugly, even with a 7-line skirt 3mm from the print area.
