Tevo Tarantula L bracket with ring
thingiverse
One of the things that causes inaccuracies in printing is flexibility. The tarantula design fails to effectively mitigate flex on the Y axis, particularly when it comes to the 2 Z towers. Several designs for braces exist, but they are typically short and offer limited assistance. As a result, their benefits are more pronounced on shorter prints, while longer prints see less improvement. Since I'm mounting the tarantula to a 2x2 foot board, I've opted to use thin cables and turnbuckles at each corner or even GT2 belts with tensioners instead. This approach maintains stability from above, makes it easier to adjust for level Z towers, and keeps the cables/belts out of the way by mounting them on the bottom end at the far corners of the board. I've included both a standard 5mm thick version as well as a thicker 7mm option in case you're concerned about stress.
