Calibration of the second nozzle height in V2.0, featuring two vertical slots, proved too laborious and time-consuming, prompting a redesign for better results. To solve this problem, I introduced a new design that keeps the distance between the nozzles consistent by suspending both hot ends on a sturdy bracket known as the SEAT, highlighted in yellow. This revised design boasts an additional advantage: if one of the hotends encounters an obstacle, it will simply bounce over it without damaging the print or nozzle. The SEAT is secured to two M3x50 screws and two springs salvaged from inexpensive clicky ballpoint pens. To calibrate the hotends' alignment, all you need to do is adjust one of the two M3 screws to tilt the seat accordingly. The hotends are firmly clamped to the SEAT using four M3 screws and four M3 nuts that have been inserted into the Seat using a soldering iron. Regrettably, this design necessitates the use of supports during printing. However, it also has some drawbacks: nozzle alignment can be confusing at first due to the suspended hotends, and any adjustments to the tension screws (M3x50) affect both nozzles simultaneously. Furthermore, because the hotends are supported by only two springs, they may flex slightly in the Y direction on lower layers. In my experience, this issue is negligible beyond the second layer and doesn't significantly impact print quality. To complete this print, you'll need to acquire the following components: - 2 M3x50 screws - 2 springs measuring at least 10mm in length (extracted from clicky ballpoint pens) - 6 M3 nuts - 2 M3x20 screws (or shorter alternatives that can be screwed directly into plastic)
