Capacitive and inductive sensors are fully supported when mounting them on the left side, complete with an alignment jig that makes it easy to get everything perfectly aligned. The jig works hand-in-hand with a pencil to figure out exactly how far off-center your nozzle is from the sensor's sweet spot. Keep in mind, though: you might need to tweak those small holes depending on the heat sink design of your hot end.
