Tevo tarantula bottom extruder handle with PTFE tube connector
thingiverse
This is essentially the same design as the original, with a few key modifications. The main change was enlarging the hole to accommodate an M4 connector and creating a central opening for a PTFE tube. This allows the tube to extend right up to the start of the teeth that grip the filament, ensuring precise alignment. To make it easier to insert the tube, I made the hole slightly tight, but you may need to file it slightly to get it in smoothly. My goal was to create a comfortable way to load filament without having to handle the extruder itself. The design consists of two tubes: one is for loading the filament, and the other is where the extrusion process begins. To use this system, simply push the filament all the way into the lower tube, then extrude about 4-5 cm as you normally would with an OctoPi or LCD. This will bring the filament out on the other end. You can either continue to extrude manually or let it run until the filament reaches the nozzle. Keep in mind that I'm using a Flexible extruder top handle, which includes a pointy tip to guide the filament into place. I'm not sure how well this will work with the standard handle, so you may need to experiment to find what works best for your setup.
