Wanted to neaten up the cabling on my TEVO Little Monster, tucking all the modular connections out of sight in an easily accessible spot without having to resort to flexible filaments. I re-insulated all the cabling using cable braid from a generic PC mod kit. I moved the floating extruder to a full bowden setup at the top, which takes advantage of this design. I used springs to float it perfectly over the extruder, which also helps reduce sharp angles that can cause brittle filaments to break and prevents the hard casing from knocking against the rods. This has allowed my extruder setup to be incredibly lightweight, reducing vibration-related artifacting and enabling higher possible print speeds. I also fitted a genuine E3D V6 Volcano. A user on the Facebook group for this printer mentioned that there are two unused M3 holes by the hole on the top plate, perfectly placed so you can screw the extruder motor assembly directly to it via the holes originally made for the belts as a floating extruder. I placed it here with 20mm M3 spaces to make it easier to access the lever on the extruder assembly. Requires: 4 x M3 nuts 4 x M3 8mm or longer (Counter-sunk LMCO-Lid.stl, Socket Cap LMCO-Lid-Alt.stl) Several small zip-ties Optional: 4 x Relatively weak 25mm Cylindrical Spiral Extension springs I went through my box of various springs and found that these work quite well. I don't have any documentation on the springs, but they need to be relatively weak and able to loop around the rods or screws. One is attached to each of the bottom screws to a rod on the side of it. Another is set across both rods and a further spring is put in the center of this to the top of the cable organizer casing to the bowden tube/cabling. The base is zip-tied to the cables, and the lid is attached with a slot for the bowden tube.
