I've fitted a TEVO Flash Tarantula heat sink fan adapter to use a 40x10mm 12V standard fan on an original hotend duct. I'm using the Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX fan with a mini step-down module (Size:22x17x4mm) like this https://www.amazon.de/dp/B009NQLT0M/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_XG7ZDbVJ1Q23V. To mount the adapter, I can use the original screws but instead of the old fan, I need 4 distance tubes 10mm or this adapter from "Darkronight" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3798250. The frame holds tightly to the base and normally does not require any further fixing.
