Tevo Flash filament guide for your extruder!
I encountered a significant problem with the filament spool mounted on top of the printer, and I suspect others might be experiencing this issue as well in this setup. Having the spool at the top causes an extreme angle where the filament rubs against the release guide housing (see picture), which digs into the guide. Eventually, this will lead to serious problems with the extruder housing. This guide will prevent sawing behavior by guiding the filament into place during the extrusion process. It is a single print and is quite sturdy! I used Raptor PLA but it can also be PET-G or ABS. Notes: - Supports are needed around the guide wheel (see picture) - 3 x M3x32 socket heads are required - 100% infill is recommended Features: - Protects against excessive spool angle wear - Single print design - Spinning guide wheel - Flush mount hardware design - Stout design - 1 hour(ish) print at 60 mm/s speed - Simple print and design Slicer: - Simplify 3D slicer software Filament: - Maker Geeks Raptor PLA - Vivid Red filament 3d Printer: - Tevo Flash 3d printer Infill: - 100% infill setting Resolution: - .2 mm resolution Design Studio: - 123D Design software
