Tevo Black Widow Titan Mount + (Hotend and Model ducts)
thingiverse
Why is this so? The Tension Bolt is free! The BLTouch doesn't need a special long curved mount; it's just below the e-motor on the same plastic part. The Duct is about 13mm from the nozzle, and the Fan is about 16mm from the nozzle - close enough to cool things down. I couldn't find any ready-to-use designs, so I... Additional Parts (Not Included with Titan and Stock Black Widow) 2x M5x20 bolts and nuts to mount the base (it uses 4xM5 bolts) - a flathead is preferred; one flathead is required if you'll use the attached duct (read assembly). Optional: 4x M4x30 (or longer) bolts and nuts for model duct Optional: A single 50mm 24v radial fan (can be ordered here) BLTouch The BLTouch mount is in the base; if you use it, no additional mount is required. If you don't, you'll have some unused holes. Marlin (1.1.8) offsets are: #define X_OFFSET -26 #define Y_OFFSET 29 #define Z_OFFSET 0 Old style: #define X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -26 #define Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 29 #define Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 0 HotEnd Designed for the Original Tevo Black Widow hotend, which goes with the Tevo Titan Extruder. If you have an original E3D hotend (https://e3d-online.com/v6), then the heater and thermistor wires will go towards you - not very good, but if it's okay, this mount will do the job. Volcano - not tested; may work if you try and it works - message me please. Materials Better to use ABS for all parts. Base - ABS (better) or PLA (will work) - both tested, but PLA will deform eventually due to E-motor temperature. Hotend Duct - ABS only - PLA will deform - too close to the heater. Model Duct - ABS, PLA may work (~9mm from hotend) but not tested. Model Duct mount helpers - ABS or PLA Printing Hotend Duct - AS IS, no supports; ooze shield for better results, 0.2mm. Base - rotate on X axis -90 degree; use supports and ooze shield for better results, 0.2mm. RDuct - rotate on Y axis 90 degree; use supports for better results, 0.2mm. Model Duct mount helpers (2pcs) - rotate on X axis -90 degree - ooze shield for better results, 0.2mm. Assembly 1. Print hotend duct (NO SUPPORTS) 1. Print base (use supports as it has one big hole for E-Motor, or place it manually) 1. (bltouch only) Mount BLTouch into the base 1. If you plan to use duct - place 2 M4 bolts into second row (from top) on the right side of base (check photos) 1. Put E-motor 1. Mount Titan extruder with E-Motor by screwing 3xM3 bolts (included with titan) 1. Mount Hotend duct (see photos) - it must fit tight into radiator (see photo #4) 1. Place wires 1. Mount base (read below if you plan to use duct) 1. (bltouch only) Update firmware (google how to) Optional: If you will use duct 1. Use FLATHEAD for right bottom bolt when mounting base (see photos) 1. Print duct (using titan already) - duct requires a little bit supports or model fan 1. Place radial fan on duct 1. Put nuts into two helpers 1. Mount duct using helpers - don't tighten nuts now 1. Calibrate duct height - it must be ~2mm above the nozzle 1. Tighten duct mount nuts You are done.
