Tetrix to Hitec Standard Servo Thru Mount - V8

thingiverse

Mounts a standard Hitec servo with servo horn and axle hub on Tetrix channel, keeping the servo and axle hub aligned to large Tetrix hole for better support and protection against side shocks to the axle. This setup can also be used with the Tetrix Rack and Pinion set to drive the pinion gear under low loads. Requires seven 6-32 x 0.75-inch screws. Instructions: Print both pieces. Insert three nuts into the nut holder circles on the servo-side piece, sliding them in smoothly; if they don't fit easily, screw through the piece, tighten the screw to pull the nuts into position, loosen and remove the screws, then tighten again. Remove the nuts will remain in place. Attach the servo horn and axle hub to the servo securely without using a horn screw since they will be tightly sandwiched between the servo and the Tetrix channel. For future reference, align the axle hub set screw with the top of the servo for easy access. To save time, you can also attach the axle at this point. Now attach the servo to the servo-side piece firmly with four 6-32 x 0.75-inch screws and four nuts in place securely. Place the Tetrix-side piece snugly between the Tetrix channel and the servo to provide solid support for all moving parts involved. Use three standard, short Tetrix screws through the channel into the previous set of nuts securely fastening the system together firmly. Finish securing by screwing two additional short Tetrix screws and two corresponding nuts at the top in place tightly if not already attached previously, or use the given instructions carefully according to your requirements.
