Tetrix Chain Tensioner (lead screw method)

Tetrix Chain Tensioner (lead screw method)

thingiverse

I engineered a chain tensioner specifically designed to work seamlessly with FTC Tetrix beams, which often present challenges when it comes to tensioning chains due to the differing units used - metric and imperial systems. To overcome this obstacle, I created a lead-screw method tensioner that can be easily attached to the end of a Tetrix beam, extending its length to achieve the desired chain tension. This innovative solution involves inserting a long screw into a hole and securing it with a nut placed in a slot. I included my detailed engineering notebook entries for the entire Relic Arm project, which include step-by-step assembly instructions for building a chain tensioner.
