Tetrakaidecahedron

The tetrakaidecahedron is widely known as the Kelvin foam model. It is of interest in biomedical engineering as it can be used as a model for tissue engineering scaffolds. The geometry is produced using the Elementum pre-processor. This generates the mesh for the object directly. The full model is then solved using our in house FEA software. [www.elementum-fea.ie].
