Tetrahedral Spikey, Tetrahedron
cults3d
Tetrahedral Spikey: Each side of the big triangle measures around 86mm. Printing requires a raft, but support is unnecessary. Starting with an equilateral triangle, you can extrude at a tapering angle of -19.4712 degrees, derived from arccos(1/3) minus 90 degrees, to create a tetrahedron. Then, continue to extrude in the same manner on each central triangle (one-fourth of the initial triangle) on all four faces. This project is an excellent way for students to delve into the world of 3D design. Note: A basic understanding of trigonometry would be beneficial. Warning: The spikey can pose a risk to small children, so consider using flexible filament whenever possible.
