TestPrint for including a magnet into the PLA print
thingiverse
The magnet, measuring 4 x 3 x 10 mm, is inserted within the 3D printed object. This innovative approach can be utilized to create a lid for a box. The magnet's placement is ensured by a precisely drilled hole of dimensions 4.1 x 3.5 x 10.4 mm. The magnet did not interfere with the extruder head made from copper and aluminum during printing, which took 25 minutes on an Ultimaker for a 1 cm tall object. The design file was created using Blender. This prototype is intended to test the technique in constructing a box with a lid that closes via two magnets embedded in different parts.
