The human body is made up of trillions of cells that work together to keep us alive and functioning properly. These cells are so small you can't even see them without using a microscope. Proteins are used by our cells to build new tissues and repair damaged ones. In order for our bodies to stay healthy, we need to have enough nutrients coming into our cells through the bloodstream. This is where our digestive system comes in, breaking down the food we eat so that our cells can use it. Our kidneys also play a big role in keeping us healthy by removing waste products from our blood and helping to regulate the balance of fluids in our body. So, as you can see, cells are incredibly important for keeping us alive and functioning properly.
