Test Tube Rack/Stand
thingiverse
I designed this Tube Rack as a challenge to myself and because they can be pretty expensive. The cheapest I could find are around €17,- ($20). My design has a 2x2 lay-out and is printed flat and is 1.2 mm thick. In the future I will alter the thickness so the rack will be sturdier. This design can fit on a 22.5 x 22.5 plate if you would like to print it all at once. I did mine in separate parts because I have trust issues... The design consists of three parts:

Top

Midsection

Bottom

Assembly is pretty straightforward. Bend the "Bottom" and "Top" at a 90 degree angle where the print is thinnest. Slightly bend 1 prong until both prongs fit through the slit. Bend prong back and it should be secured. Proceed with all prongs until the rack is fully assembled. Don't try to force the prongs too hard, otherwise they will break or bend unrecoverably. This design has a diameter of Ø30 mm and will fit 50 mL test tubes. I can alter the design and upload it with a different diameter if requested. The most common diameters are:

Ø16 mm

Ø20 mm

Ø25 mm

Ø30 mm

You can see my print [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/functionalprint/comments/l62q9j/tube_standlabware/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3). Let me know if you printed my design and if works!
