Test tube connectors with Stoppers for Modular Ant Formicarium

I have designed several types of connectors to join test tubes to the Modular Ant Formicarium. I added a stopper (by caswal http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:476168). There are four models of each connector, available in sizes for 18mm, 16mm, 14mm, and 12mm test tubes. I tested these connectors with two layers of shell, three layers on the top and bottom sides, using a layer height of 0.3mm. The infill percentage is 20%. To prevent ants from invading the new space too quickly, I recommend using a small amount of cotton in the holes of the connections. This has been my experience with Messor barbarus ants; when they are disturbed and a new room is connected to the nest, they may suffer stress and die in large numbers. I prefer to seal the holes of the connectors with a thin layer of cotton, which allows me to avoid immediate crossing over. In a few hours, the ants will remove the cotton and take their new place.
