Most conventional test strip manufacturers seem to center their designs around six distinct segments. Given that my enlarger timer's test strip mode actually accommodates seven segments (RH Designs Analyser Pro), I sought out a solution that could replicate this functionality. This design bears resemblance to some existing test strip makers I've encountered, and measures approximately 7.5 inches wide to fit comfortably across an 8x10 easel area. It also features holes for magnets, precision-cut to match McMaster-Carr part number 7048T22.
