Test Jig from Clockathon #2 - FIXED
thingiverse
This is a revised version of the printed clock made during Clockathon #2. It was hosted by Makerbot and Bre, while Ben provided assistance. The clock featured a 9-inch drop weight for power within a twelve-hour period, along with printed concentric shafts to support minute and hour hands on its face. A video of the ticking clock can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH4Tg2tIgfg. The codebase has since been cleaned up, and new changes have been implemented such as adding more gearing to account for a fifteen-tooth escapement wheel, deprecating the old drumgear routine in favor of a core pinion wheel routine, and including logic for different shaft radii based on whether a gear has concentric shafts or not. The updated parameters now allow for concentric shafts and hands for hour and minute gears. However, it currently does not include a ratcheting drum solution for any gear other than the front one or a way to turn the fixed drum on for only one gear. STLs and screenshots of this improved codebase will be posted later today for you to try out.
