Test Jig - Clock - Minutes and Seconds Only

thingiverse

The Printable Clock Project by Syvwlch features a test jig for minutes and seconds only. Created with assistance from MakerBlock, rustedrobot, barrychuck, and others at Thingiverse, this test jig is designed to fit the printable clock project. Its configuration has just one gear between the minutes and seconds gears, resulting in minimal friction that can drive the escapement wheel from the drum. The frame system also includes the escapement shaft for improved functionality. Syvwlch hopes the test jig will allow users to test the escapement for the first time. The project is licensed under CC-A-SA and requires printing all STL files or working with the script, followed by generating new STLs using laidOutToPrint(). To assemble the test jig, print three 3mm M3 shafts with a clearance of half a millimeter on either side. The escapement wheel is slightly smaller than previous versions, making it non-interchangeable. Testing involves four steps to ensure proper functionality of the escapement mechanism.
