Sept 2 2019. Installed two finger screws with fewer threads, plus added a holder with reduced thread count. May 6 2019. Incorporated a 2mm hex for easy removal in case PLA threads break from over-tightening, and modeled a M6x1 printer nozzle thread. Used a dovetail mount to test the dial indicator. Screwed into the heater nozzle threads of a Cetus printer M8x1.25. Also designed is a Creality 10s pro nozzle thread M6x0.75. The PLA holder is rigid enough for precise measurements, providing 0.0001" accuracy far exceeding most printers' requirements. Utilized for tramming the printer or leveling the build surface (Cetus bed leveling necessitates delicate bending of the aluminum build surface in a vice). Engineered to position the indicator lever arm at the extrusion point or nozzle center. The wide part of the dovetail is 6 mm and the narrow width is 4.5 mm. Switch out nozzles and use the dovetail offering the best view of the dial face. Designed in Fusion 360 and printed on a Cetus MKII extended printer. -Peter
