I test normals mapping accuracy by using sharp edges created from normal maps instead of geometry, which reduces memory consumption and allows for a balanced approach between polygon count and UV map size. My model is optimized for final texture size, limited to 1024x1024 pixels. It's been developed through the PBR (Physically Based Rendering) texture pipeline, resulting in four textures. I've verified its performance on UE4 running on PS4.
