TEST BENCH for MKS PI V1.1 + TS35 V1.0 Here's a 'fast and easy mounting' test bench. No screws, nuts or washers. No fiddling with tools around the electronics. Easy print(s)!! But to get this 'bed of nails' ready you need: • The print(s) • Flat head nails (2 mm diam - 4 short nails-20mm + 4 long nails-50mm). Round the tips! • An old PTFE tube to cut out spacers AND nail tip protectors • A 30mm fan. This PI V1.1 really needs active cooling!!! • A soldering iron to heat-fix nails to the print(s). • Rubber bands • Cable ties It will take some time to get the nails right in place (parallel). So you better print PETG or ABS. Due to their higher printing temps, they are forgiving if you are unskilled with the soldering iron. This said, don't overheat things: stop heating nails once you can bounce them with the iron tip. Then orient all nails so that they fit correctly both, PI V1.1 and TS35 V1.0. ___ Why this dumb bench? Well … you may have more than one printer and want to test Klipper on many/all of them before opening your printer(s). So this platform could be convenient. ___ What configuration is better? Well, this depends on you. • If you feel comfortable with a single mount, there is the choice to print a left-handed or right-handed layout. The picture shows a left-handed print. Mirror the STL file if you are right-handed. You can also rotate the screen 180º. To do so read the following documentation: https://github.com/makerbase-mks/MKS-PI • If you prefer separate mounts, take good care of the flat ribbon connecting boths boards. That's all. Don't poke yourself!! Enjoy printing and testing! O. ___ MKS PI V1.1 TS35 V1.0 MKS PI V1.1 & TS35 V1.0
