Tessellating Horse and Rider based on M C Escher's work
thingiverse
I'm drawn to Escher's world for a third time. These images have an otherworldly allure to them. Two identical horses and riders are perfectly mirrored, repeating endlessly across any surface you can imagine. The effect is particularly striking when the mirrored horses are cut from materials of sharply contrasting hues. To achieve this look, simply defocus the laser by 5-10 millimeters and etch the "etch" layer as vectors to create broad lines that add depth to your design.
