Tessellating Cat Ornament

We crafted intricate Escher-inspired tessellating cats featuring a neatly centered hole for attaching a string to one ear. These beautiful designs were created in gold and served as stunning Christmas ornaments on decorative cards. With their potential to make wonderful pendants, earrings, or other unique accessories, they're sure to delight anyone who lays eyes on them! The 3D design is perfectly realized on one side, while the back remains flat. Our inspiration for this shape came from a classic quilt pattern that we lovingly adapted into something truly special. When two pieces fit closely together but still allow for a slight gap due to manufacturing tolerances, it's clear that an ear stringing hole was carefully added to maintain even spacing throughout the design - tighter at the top than at the bottom as intended.
