Tesla Valvular - Designed and patented in the 1920's
thingiverse
This is a single-way valve without any moving parts, ideally suited for high-pressure pulsed gases and liquids such as those produced by Tesla turbines. The instructions that follow were created using a DaVinci 1.0A. The part was oriented diagonally to accommodate its considerable length. A print resolution of 0.3mm with 30% infill and use of ABS plastic resulted in successful production. Approximately two hours of printing time were required, and approximately 14 meters of filament were used. A cover made from transparent acrylic is necessary to prevent leaks. This must be securely fastened or glued in place at the top of the valve. The inlet and outlet pipes should be installed by drilling holes in the recessed areas at either end and gluing them firmly into place.
