Tesla Model S/X Jack Pad with captured magnets
thingiverse
This is a Tesla Model S & Model X jack pad. It has cavities for captured magnets, but they are not necessary. This can still be used without magnets in it. I used these magnets: N35 Strong Round Disc Ring Magnet Rare Earth Neodymium 20mm x 10mm. Two will be needed per jack pad. Printing with 100% infill is recommended as a lot of compression protection will be required when jacking up a 5000lb car. PLA should not be used, but PETG or ABS would be the best option, possibly acrylic as well. A TPU set could work if anyone tries making one, so please let me know if it does. Magnets must be inserted while printing after the cavity is printed, but before the first layer of the cavity starts. Pause the printer at the right layer or quickly drop them into the hole at the correct time. Make sure a non-magnetic nozzle, such as a brass nozzle, is being used. A steel or magnet type heat block should not be used. The Inventor file is included if anyone wants to remix or modify this. Please share any modifications made.
