I was fed up with my vent holders constantly slipping out of place in my Tesla. They either slid right off or fell off while I accelerated. I took a closer look at some aftermarket phone holders and noticed they didn't grip the vent blades, but instead clung to the walls of the vents. So I decided to design a similar grip myself and it turned out perfectly. This grip seems to be working extremely well so far, but I'm always looking for ways to improve it if needed. As you can see, I simply bolted a round knob onto the plate, but you can customize it however you like. If the print still keeps sliding around, you can try using some double-sided tape or adding a rubber band into the grip. This should prevent it from slipping out of place.
