The glove compartment of Tesla Model S frequently comes loose at the lower end. This issue arises because the bearing block that holds the lid in place is damaged. It's not uncommon for this damage to occur when, for instance, a pen obstructs the path as the lid closes. To rectify this problem, you'll need to replace the old bearing block (which must be carefully cut off using a Dremel tool). I resolved this issue by securing the new bearing block with one screw and applying butyl sealant to the glove compartment. This fix has been successful for over a year now.
