Tesla Model S console insert (pre-refresh)
thingiverse
This centre console is tailored to fit perfectly in my Model S - keep in mind that it may not suit your needs. The insert boasts an expansive area dedicated to sunglasses, a section for storing gum, a "roll top" compartment designed for miscellaneous items, a spot to stash loose change and a designated slot at the rear for charging cards. When printing the main box, you can slide the rolltop in once it's printed with PETG - its flexibility makes it easy to do so. Next, fit the coin ramp into place to seal the end of the console. No glue or supports are required, but you may need to manipulate the rolltop a few times to clear out any channels that form during printing. To enhance the functionality of the centre console, I've added cushioning at the bottom of the large section to provide extra protection for sunglasses. Additionally, some extra cushioning has been applied along the sides to secure the insert in place. In my car, the rolltop section is printed in black and looks great as a result - I've included a red one in the photos so you can see it more clearly.
